In October and November we spent ten days at the German-Hispanic-Centre for Astronomy on Calar Alto Observatory in the south of Spain, about 50 km north of Almeria. The Calar Alto Observatory is located in an altitude of almost 2170m.
The observatory includes several telescopes (from right to left on the upper image): the 3.5m telescope with ALFA (AO) and OmegaCass (spectrograph), the 2.2m telescope with FOCES (spectrograph), the 1.23m telescope, a 0.8m Schmidt-Camera and a 1.52m telescope of the University of Madrid. We observed with ALFA at the 3.5m telescope for 2nd epoch imaging of substellar companions. |
